Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with Corporate Payroll, Divisional Payroll, and HR & Payroll Innovation. The role supports time collection, workforce management, payroll, and labor compliance solutions for field operations, ensuring reliability and compliance.

The ideal candidate has deep construction payroll knowledge and experience in multi-state payroll, union payroll, and certified payroll processes, serving as a bridge between business and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, HR, Finance, Construction Management, Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst, Systems/Payroll Analyst or related role in construction payroll and workforce management preferred.
• Experience supporting time and attendance, payroll, HRIS, or ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of union payroll, prevailing wage, multi-state payroll and labor compliance.
• Experience gathering requirements, workshops, process analysis, and software implementations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between payroll, HR, field operations, finance and IT teams.
• Translate business needs into functional specs, user stories, and process maps.
• Support ongoing operation, enhancement, and improvement of time collection, payroll, and labor compliance solutions.
• Lead small-to-medium projects and coordinate with vendors and technology teams.
• Develop test plans, UAT scenarios, and support deployment activities.
