Job summary

Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) seeks candidates for a Payroll & Audit Unit role in Baltimore to audit payroll and timekeeping using TimeClock Plus and Workday, analyze data for trends, and ensure compliance with COMAR and state policies.

The position develops procedures, trains staff, and supports agencies with accurate biweekly payroll processing while adhering to state requirements and departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
• Substitutions: 30 college credit hours per year of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute.
• Military service as officer may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit payroll and timekeeping activities.
