Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll & Compliance Manager to own the end-to-end payroll cycle for all employees in our Worthington, OH office, ensure timely, accurate pay, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will lead a small team, manage payroll software (ADP Workforce Now), and coordinate with HR and finance to support goals while upholding data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience for mid to large organizations.
• Multi-state payroll compliance knowledge and experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.

The Senior Payroll & Compliance Managerwill oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for all employees while acting as the primary compliance officer for all payroll-related statutory and regulatory requirements. The position will own the entire process, assure timely and accurate processing, and maintain 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

As a Senior Payroll & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Payroll Operations – Manage the full payroll processing lifecycle. Manage the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant pay processing. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records and coordinating with HR and finance departments to support organizational goals.
• Compliance Assurance – Monitor, implement, and audit processes against complex, multi-jurisdictional tax and labor laws including FLSA, Wage and Hour, etc.
• System and Team Management – Manage and oversee payroll software, manage payroll as it relates to the entire HCM system, reconcile general ledger payroll accounts and manage a small team.
• The position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

To qualify as a Senior Payroll & Compliance Manager with us, you will need:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or other related field required.
• Experience - Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience managing end-to-end payroll for mid to large size organization.
• Compliance – Proven experience managing and ensuring multi-state or multi-jurisdictional payroll tax compliance.
• Preferred Certification – A Certified Payroll Professional designation is highly preferred.
• Health care experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Data Analytics, Dashboard development and strong reporting skills preferred.
• Proficient with payroll software, preferably ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge of on-demand pay helpful
