Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY seeks a Sr. Analyst II, Payroll to oversee complex payroll operations for a multi-state, multi-entity cannabis organization. You will manage SAP HCM and SAP ECP processes for hourly, salaried, and union-represented staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CBAs and payroll regulations.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Labor Relations, and Compliance to optimize payroll workflows, support M&A activity, and uphold payroll integrity across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment with SAP HCM, SAP ECP or equivalent systems.
• Experience processing payroll for union-represented and hourly employees preferred.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions and payroll system integrations.
• Understanding of CBAs, wage and hour laws, and payroll taxation.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and process-improvement focus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Integrity and strict confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and union-represented employees across multiple states using SAP HCM and SAP ECP.
• Ensure payroll accuracy per CBAs, including union dues deductions, shift differentials, premiums, and special pay rules.
• Administer and audit multi-state payroll tax setups, garnishments, and wage orders for compliance.
• Reconcile payroll results, identify discrepancies, and perform corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with HRIS and third party payroll vendor teams to troubleshoot SAP configuration issues and improve automation.
• Support integration and harmonization of payroll processes during M&A activities, ensuring system alignment.
• Partner with Labor Relations and HR Partners to interpret contracts and apply pay rules accurately.
• Coordinate with Finance to reconcile payroll liabilities, GL accounts, and quarterly/year-end reporting.
• Maintain SOPs and audit documentation; manage complex employee inquiries with confidentiality.
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at process improvements and system enhancements.
• Ensure timely delivery of payroll reports, filings, and regulatory submissions.
