Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to oversee payroll, accounting and reporting across multiple entities in 49 states. You will collaborate with HR, finance and tax teams to ensure accurate payroll accounting and compliant reporting aligned with UFP policies.

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax filings, and reporting, with experience in ADP Smart Compliance and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, HR, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of payroll reporting experience; 10 years preferred.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance.
• Strong Excel and Word skills; Workday HCM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with HR and operations to improve payroll processing and reporting.

• Manages the withholding and unemployment tax compliance, including filings and registrations.
• Ensures proper taxation of company-provided employee fringe benefits.

• Assists HR with gathering and submitting information to auditors/third party as needed.
• Gather and provide third party sick pay information to payroll for processing.
• Project Management as assigned.

General Summary

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing the Payroll, Accounting and reporting activities for a company of over 65 entities, in 49 states. The Senior Payroll Analyst will partner with operations personnel, Human Resources, Finance, Tax and the Accounting departments to ensure that proper payroll accounting and reporting is efficient and accurate while maintaining UFP Policy and values.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Partners with HR Payroll Manager to enhance and improve efficiencies in overall payroll processing and reporting.
• Partners with Tax, Finance, Treasury and Plant personnel with analysis of payroll inquiries.
• Manages the withholding and unemployment tax compliance, including monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings and registrations.
• Ensures the proper taxation of company provided employee fringe benefits.
• Handles all Department of Labor (DOL) inquiries and reporting.
• Assists Sr. HR Manager with gathering, verifying, and submitting HR information to UFP’s independent auditors/third party on an as needed basis.
• Gather and provide third party sick pay information to payroll for processing.
• Project Management as they are assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, HR, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll reporting (Accounting/Tax) required, 10 years preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll and accounting
• Advanced knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of Workday HCM preferred.
