Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. Payroll Advisor to lead the payroll processing for our U.S. and Canada employees, up to 3,000 staff, ensuring timely and accurate payroll. You will report to the Payroll Manager and align activities with the business needs.

The role emphasizes payroll tax, compliance, stakeholder education, and effective communication of payroll-related information, with a focus on accuracy and customer service across HR, IT, Finance, and other functions.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees
• Providing payroll tier 2 level support
• Educating business stakeholders on payroll processes, compliance, and activities
• Demonstrating critical thinking and payroll expertise
• Handling payroll taxation, jurisdictional requirements, and regulatory concerns
• Resolving routine issues under payroll leadership
• Communicating payroll aspects and training for new programs
• Providing customer service and clear payroll communication to employees
• Managing and processing payroll and analyzing data to resolve errors
• Managing payroll allocations and guiding corporate ops and field staff
• Collaborating across HR, IT, Finance, etc.
• Assisting with submission of tax, garnishments, and bank files to external agencies
• Maintaining confidential payroll records
• Owning tasks and projects
• Creating/editing ad-hoc HR/Payroll reports for management
• Serving as HR Payroll point of contact for designated areas
• Maintaining HR/Payroll policy knowledge
• Completing special projects as assigned
