Job summary

General Dynamics NASSCO is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to oversee day-to-day payroll operations in a fast-paced environment in San Diego, CA. You will lead junior staff, ensure weekly payroll is processed accurately, and maintain compliance with company policies and federal/state laws.

The role reports to the Payroll Supervisor and/or Accounting Manager, with responsibilities to step in during their absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll processing for all employees with accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise daily payroll activities and workflows to ensure smooth end-to-end processing.
• Manage deductions including benefits, retirement, taxes, garnishments, and levies.
• Maintain complete payroll records in compliance with regulatory standards.
