Century Group is partnering with a client seeking an Accountant to join their team in California. The role centers on payroll processing, timekeeping review, and accurate accounting entries to support monthly close and audits.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of accounting and payroll experience, and proficiency with spreadsheets and payroll systems. Payroll certification is preferred, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years accounting and payroll experience.
• Payroll certification preferred.
• Experience with payroll, timekeeping and accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time with supporting records.
• Review timekeeping each pay period and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to maintain payroll data.
• Prepare accounting entries, reports, and analyses as needed.
• Support accounts payable, cash receipts, audits, and other functions.
