Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking a full-time Payroll Accountant to manage biweekly payroll processing, journal entries, tax balancing, garnishments, and reporting for its Hershey, PA operations.

The role also serves as the backup to the Payroll Supervisor, collaborates with HR on payroll coding for new hires and transfers, and generates ad hoc labor reports using UKG Cognos. On-site with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of high school or GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, coordinate, and analyze time and attendance records for accuracy and timeliness through pooling of time and balancing, overtime payments, adjustment entries, payroll advances, processing terminations, cash tips, and gratuities.
• Assist the Payroll Supervisor with Workforce Management maintenance, platform error resolution, ad-hoc labor reports, and security.
• Coordinate with HR and management to ensure payroll coding accuracy for new hires, rehires, and transfers.
• Research inquiries from managers, employees, parents, or government entities about federal tax withholdings and check history.
• Update and maintain employee direct deposit Wisely paycard accounts for new hires and changes.
• Balance journal payments made by Payment services for taxes and garnishments after each payroll.
• Create, edit, and maintain payroll reports using UKG Cognos Reporting Tool.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
