Job summary

uniQure is seeking a field-based Market Access leader reporting to the VP, US Payer & Reimbursement to secure and maintain optimal product coverage with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers across the US. You will build deep payer relationships and lead pre-approval engagements, while monitoring policy developments to inform business strategy.

Collaboration with MSLs, field teams, and commercial leadership will be essential to maximize access for uniQure’s gene therapy products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years in medical life science industry with payer access focus.
• Strong track record negotiating access with national and regional payers, PBMs, and government agencies.
• Established relationships with payer and provider organizations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with payer decision-makers.
• Lead all pre-approval payor-facing engagements per legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain understanding of payer landscapes and evolving policies.
• Advise on payer engagement strategy with market intelligence.
• Collaborate with MSLs to enable professional meetings in the commercial marketplace.
• Drive insights to commercial leadership and inform strategy.
• Help design performance goals and metrics for initial implementation.
• Develop strategic account business plans across payer, provider, and pharmacy sectors.
