Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Commercial & Investment Bank payments technology team.

You will design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products with a focus on security, stability, and scalability, while supporting automated testing initiatives. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you will drive end-to-end testing, collaborate with Operations, Product and Technology groups, and leverage enterprise AI-assisted development

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Cucumber / Gherkin, Java, Selenium or similar tool.
• Experience in testing processes to define requirements, document user stories and test scripts through to execution.
• Experience with automated testing to enable End-to-End test execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a test team with daily supervision and allocation of duties.
• Plan requirements against an End-to-End test strategy including data, environments, and defects.
• Lead daily Scrum Calls and deputize for the Program Test Manager in meetings.
• Identify automation opportunities and test synergies within the project.
• Document and execute test scenarios using BDD approaches (e.g., Gherkin).
• Monitor and report testing defects and re-testing processes, presenting results for sign-off.
