Job summary

Tapcheck is seeking a hands-on Senior Product Manager with deep payments and money‑movement experience to turn complex financial flows into scalable platform capabilities that Engineering can build, operate, and scale. You will work directly with Engineering and Product leadership from week one, taking ambiguous problems and guiding them to concrete product decisions and launches.

The initial focus includes Payments, ACH and bank rails, Payouts/Disbursements, Repayments, Card, Payment

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with payments/money movement focus.
• Ownership of payment flows and financial infrastructure.
• Experience shipping rails, bank transfers, cards, payouts, or reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own product definition for money-movement capabilities end-to-end.
• Pressure-test requirements across Payments, Payouts, Orchestration, and Risk.
• Translate requirements into PRDs, APIs, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Work at the transaction level: states, retries, failures, reconciliation.
• Define how money moves through funding, authorization, settlement, and payout.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Data, and Eng to ensure correctness.
• Drive initiatives in Risk, Payouts, and Money Movement workstreams.
• Use data to identify problems and measure outcomes like success rates and costs.
• Surface risks early and push issues to resolution.
• Own day-to-day execution: backlog, reviews, prioritization, launch readiness.
• Flex across platform workstreams as priorities evolve.
