Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Payment Operations - Payment Optimization to lead complex payment initiatives across multiple U.S. locations including Bellevue, WA, Boston, MA, and Plantation, FL.

You will drive performance, readiness, incident response, and cross-functional execution for recurring, stored payment, and advanced authorization flows. The ideal candidate has deep payments knowledge, senior program leadership experience in ecommerce/fintech, and the ability to translate

Qualifications

• Experience leading payments/fintech operational programs.
• Ability to define and track key payment metrics and SLAs.
• Strong collaboration with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance and Legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health and optimization roadmap for advanced authorization, stored payment, and recurring flows.
• Define, monitor, and improve payment metrics including payment success rate, authorization performance, retries and declines.
• Lead launches, enhancements, defects, escalations, and post-launch performance management.
• Manage cross-functional programs across Product, Engineering, Customer Care, Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Legal/Compliance, and external partners.
• Identify defects, reliability risks, and customer friction; quantify impact and drive resolutions.
• Partner with processors, wallet providers, tokenization providers, and other third parties to improve performance and SLAs.
• Analyze issuer, network, processor, card type, wallet, MCC, tokenization trends to identify opportunities.
• Prepare executive narratives, business reviews, and recommendations linking performance to business impact.
• Serve as subject matter expert for card-not-present, stored credentials, recurring billing, multi-authorization, and related workflows.
