Job summary

Whipple Learning Cove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the engineering behind a payments platform in our San Francisco office. You will consolidate legacy integrations into a clean, reliable system and work directly with customers to understand real‑world failure modes.

The role requires a strong payments background, attention to detail, and the ability to move fast on a small team with close collaboration with product and leadership.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer with strong payments background and fintech experience.
• Experience building payment systems and integrations is a plus.
• Comfortable working closely with customers and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and refactor a payments system built from legacy integrations.
• Maintain integrations across banking, debit cards, Stripe, SAP, partner advances, payroll, and billing.
• Own orchestration and reconciliation layer across third‑party fintech partners.
