Job summary

Rippling's Payments Data & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst - Payments to design, build, and maintain services that process large financial data within Rippling’s payments product ecosystem.

You will enable accurate settlement between customers and financial institutions and partner with Accounting, Finance, Biz Ops, Payments, and Product to deliver trusted data for finance and product systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Econ, Math, Business Analytics.
• 4+ years applying analytics engineering/analysis/modeling to large datasets, ideally payments/financial reporting.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and reporting tools (Snowflake, Tableau, dbt, Dagster).
• Extensive SQL experience across analytics development and deployment.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, finance and accounting teams to build automated reporting pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to interface with stakeholders and senior leadership (C-suite).
• Bonus: knowledge of general accounting principles, GL close, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, accounting, partnerships, and product teams to analyze large payment data flows.
• Build end-to-end analyses using SQL, Python, and create real-time dashboards for financial/operating levers.
• Monitor payment flows, perform daily reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Summarize findings and provide recommendations for timely issue resolution.
• Work with Accounting/Compliance/Treasury to design scalable reporting and reconciliation solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation of reconciliation processes and procedures.
• Prepare data/reporting for month-end close, regulatory and audit reporting, and internal/external needs.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders via clear presentations.
