Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OSC/Lewin seeks a Senior Consultant to support payment model implementations, analytics, and policy analysis across Medicare and Medicaid initiatives.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop client relationships, and deliver high-quality insights while advancing new contracts, with flexible remote work from anywhere in the U.S. and in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area.

Qualifications

• 6+ years using SQL/R/Python/SAS in research, consulting, or business contexts.
• 4+ years on federal health policy, including Medicare/Medicaid value-based payment.
• Translate complex findings to non-technical audiences in writing and speaking.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
• Experience implementing or evaluating value-based payment programs.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and workstreams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Engage, develop, and cultivate client relationships through policy consultation and thought leadership.
• Lead payment model operations and analytics for value-based care initiatives.
• Support development of payment calculations, conduct financial and trend analyses, and perform ad-hoc analysis.
• Mentor staff to develop technical and analytical skills.
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Work effectively as a member of a project team.
• Query large healthcare claims and eligibility databases.
• Perform quantitative analysis to inform Medicare/Medicaid payment models.
