This individual contributor position provides exposure to Directors and above, with a development path toward ownership within Payer Relations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in contract negotiation or comparable commercial discipline.
• 5+ years in strategy, market intelligence, or consulting.
• 3+ years leading and influencing teams across a matrixed environment.
• Experience translating market and stakeholder insights into actionable tools.
• Experience conducting post-mortems with Director-level participants.
• Ability to identify patterns and extract lessons for actionable insights.
• Proven ability to drive adoption of new processes and frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication to distill complexity.
• Travel up to 15% as part of role.

Responsibilities

• Build payer-specific playbooks for CVS Pharmacy’s largest payer relationships.
• Develop pre-positioning frameworks before material negotiations.
• Facilitate structured deal reviews and debriefs.
• Drive adoption of negotiation tooling across the function.
• Lead post-mortem reviews to refine strategy and playbooks.
• Translate market intelligence into clear, repeatable strategy.
• Monitor PBM and health plan strategy and counterparty objectives.
• Manage development toward deal ownership within Payer Relations.
