Qualifications

• 5+ years in U.S. healthcare revenue cycle or payer-facing roles.
• Experience with auto and workers' compensation claims: numbers, dates, adjusters.
• Clear, natural English; confident with hold queues and transfers.
• Disciplined script and decision-tree follow-through; know when to escalate.
• Accurate, same-day documentation across systems and payer portals.
• HIPAA-trained or experienced in handling PHI.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts with MVA/Workers' Compensation coverage and identify the correct payer and script path.
• Use payer portals first; call carriers/adjusters to confirm details.
• Verify active coverage aligns with date and circumstances of incident.
• Collect and validate claim numbers, billing addresses, and submission details.
• Confirm policy information, limits, and carrier contact details.
• Document benefit exhaustion and any attorney involvement; escalate if needed.
• Close gaps between discovered data and carrier-confirmed information.
• Set follow-up dates on accounts requiring additional confirmation.
• Log all carrier contacts and portal searches on the same day.
• Return accounts only with complete and accurate billing data; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
