Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to manage third-party payer pre-certification processes for services across our national network. You will contact insurers, verify eligibility, and document results in our systems.

The role requires 1–2 years of medical billing/insurance verification, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10, and strong Microsoft Office skills. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment while upholding HIPAA regulations and our patient‑centered values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years medical billing/insurance verification experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to interact with patients, families, staff, management, physicians, and other third-party payers.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for eligibility, eligibility dates, deductible, co-payments, and co-insurance amounts due.
• Verify eligibility and benefits prior to patient’s scheduled appointments or procedures.
• Document all necessary information in appropriate systems.
• Determine provider participation status with payer.
• Answer incoming billing customer service calls and emails.
