Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Mechanic Technician II to diagnose, maintain, and repair production equipment, vehicles, and heavy construction gear to keep them safe and productive. You will diagnose engine, electrical, hydraulic, drivetrain, and HVAC systems and support training for junior technicians, coordinating with dispatch for timely repairs.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on repair experience, and the ability to work overtime as needed in a heavy civil construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment required.
• Diesel/Heavy equipment training preferred.
• EPA 609 certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair a variety of company vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
• Perform advanced engine diagnostics and repairs.
• Diagnose drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC issues.
• Use diagnostic systems and service information from Caterpillar, Volvo, Cummins.
• Coordinate with parts and dispatch for timely repairs.
• Train and support less-experienced technicians.
• Maintain tools and service vehicles in safe, clean condition.
