Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System’s Methodist Corporate Office in Omaha seeks a Senior Patient Billing Representative to ensure high standards in patient billing and coordination with end users. Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in a business office setting, in health care third party reimbursement with electronic claim submission.
• Full understanding of ICD-9 and CPT-4/HCPCS coding.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with patient accounting software, payer websites, and electronic billing scrubbers.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource person for Business Office staff.
• Maintains awareness of payer specific regulatory issues and updates.
• Assist in new employee training and provide policy feedback.
• Communicates effectively and informs supervisor of workflow issues.
• Handles referrals and escalated patient calls from within and outside departments.
• Supports management in monitoring workflow and data reporting.
• Assists in writing and maintaining procedure manuals.
