Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is seeking a patient registration professional to support the Patient Registration Supervisor on the assigned shift. You will assign work, help with scheduling, and train staff including new hires while monitoring for issues to escalate to Management.

Role involves oversight of Emergency Department, Inpatient, Outpatient registration, financial counseling, cashiering, and quality control functions within a patient-focused care environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card required within 30 days of hire.
• One year experience in a Hospital Admitting/Registration or similar medical office experience.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Three years experience in hospital Admitting/Registration Department preferred.
• One year Supervisory Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Patient Registration Supervisor in day-to-day department functions.
• Assigns work and assists with schedules.
• Trains employees including new hires and observes/reports issues to Management.
• Oversees Emergency Department Registration, Inpatient Registration, Outpatient Registration, Financial Counseling, Cashier and Quality Control Representatives.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Associate's Degree

California Fire and Life Safety Card

One year hospital admitting/registration or medical office experience

Three years hospital admitting/registration experience

One year supervisory experience
