Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for all patients and to lead training and scheduling within the Patient Access team. The role focuses on accurate MRN assignment, insurance verification, and compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure a smooth patient flow and high-quality service.

The position includes on-call responsibilities, handling point-of-service payments, and supporting audit readiness while maintaining excellent

Qualifications

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements and CPT/procedure codes.
• Willingness to embrace AI and new ideas to improve processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete eligibility checks.
• Verify insurance and collect demographic and billing information.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and on-call coverage.
• Explain consent forms and patient education materials to patients.
• Audit accounts and ensure compliance with internal policies.
