Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Senior Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for all patients at Bon Secours - St Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. This onsite role also includes supervision, training, and scheduling responsibilities within the Patient Access department.

You will assign MRNs, verify insurance, collect demographics, and support POS payments while upholding regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar Patient Access role.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and verify insurance information for patients.
• Process physician orders and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires.
• Schedule staff within the patient access department.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and after-hours support.
• Support POS collections and audit activities.
