DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Access Representative II for healthclub admin in Detroit. The role involves assisting with insurance verification, scheduling, and accurate patient data collection to support smooth hospital operations.

Under limited supervision, you will train staff, resolve complex eligibility issues, verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and help manage patient liability while ensuring compliance with payer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in patient access/hospital registration.
• Advanced knowledge of third-party payer requirements and copayment collection.

Responsibilities

• Train and orient staff on department procedures and policies.
• Verify insurance coverage, necessary authorizations, and estimate patient liability.
• Register and schedule patients, collect payments, and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with financial counseling and issue resolution.
