Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's/Associate's degree strongly preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience required; CT Children's experience preferred.
• CHAA certification required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate front-end patient access activities for ED and inpatient settings.
• Register patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and obtain signatures.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments; manage appointment templates.
• Provide training and QA to new and existing staff; monitor trends for improvement.
• Respond to patient inquiries with tact and confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Communicate with insurance providers to verify benefits and authorizations.
