Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, OR is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the primary point of contact for patient registration and data management across hospital access points.

You will use multiple complex systems to document patient information, resolve discrepancies, and support high-volume workflows while delivering compassionate, compliant service aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Patient Scheduling or Patient Access.
• Experience in a hospital environment with knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes; strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound calls and fax requests, processes scheduling requests, and performs outbound calls to coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintains scheduling systems to ensure accuracy, resolve conflicts, and optimize use of available resources.
• Obtains and verifies all required patient, clinical, and insurance information to schedule complex services.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and identifies authorization, referral, and payer-specific requirements for scheduling.
• Applies sound judgment when scheduling services that require sequencing, extended time, or coordination of multiple components.
