Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a Patient Access Liaison to manage Level 1 and 2 duties, train staff, and ensure a smooth patient financial experience from scheduling through service.

The role requires strong customer service, MS Word/Excel basics, and NAHAM certification within one year. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy in financial clearance, payments, and documentation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 3-5 years job related experience or Associate's degree with 3 years job-related experience required
• Bachelor's Level Degree, with minimum 3 years experience, preferred.
• PAL2 Preferred.
• Basic MS Word & MS Excel.
• Customer service and organizational skills.
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Level 1 & 2 Patient Access Liaison duties and supervises staff.
• Provides supervision, guidance and training to level 1 and level 2 patient access employees and support staff.
• Contributes to the design and flow of processes within the Patient Access Department.
• Determines the need for financial counseling and makes recommendations for service deferral.
• Obtains clinical information to present to third party payors and ensures medical urgency is supported.
