Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist to oversee admitting duties, training, and scheduling for the revenue cycle. You will ensure accurate MRN assignment, eligibility checks, and POS collections while delivering excellent patient service.

The role includes on-call responsibilities, development of training materials, and collaboration across departments to support compliant, efficient patient access operations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of revenue cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance process and benefits verification.
• Willingness to innovate including AI to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and assign MRNs accurately.
• Perform insurance verification and collect demographics.
• Provide patient instructions and collect payments when POS.
• Develop training materials for new hires and ongoing education.
• Create staff schedules and participate in on-call coverage.
• Ensure compliance and assist with audits.
• Operate switchboard for calls.
