Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to lead ongoing staff training across core front-desk functions and EPCHD programs. The role provides technical guidance to access associates in pre-registration, admissions, insurance verification, and authorizations.

The position requires leadership, healthcare experience, bilingual English/Spanish, and the ability to maintain workflow amidst changing demands.

Qualifications

• Two years healthcare admitting experience or related healthcare, business or finance experience.
• High school education or GED; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-going training of staff on policies, procedures, and department functions for all Patient Access areas.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Patient Access Associates.
• Oversee daily workflow, ensure completion of work, and assist in problem resolution.
• Perform duties of the Patient Access Associate as necessary.
