Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to train staff on policies and department functions across all Patient Access areas. You will provide technical leadership for pre-registration, admissions, verification, authorizations, and collection of patient payments prior to services.

Additionally, you will oversee daily workflow, ensure timely completion of tasks, and assist in problem resolution while performing the duties of a Patient Access Associate as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years healthcare admitting experience or related healthcare, business or finance position.
• High school education or GED, some college preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing training of staff on policies, procedures and department functions for all Patient Access areas.
• Offer technical leadership and guidance to Patient Access Associates in pre-registration, admissions, insurance verification, authorizations, and payments.
• Oversee daily workflow, completion of work and support problem resolution.
• Perform duties of the Patient Access Associate as necessary.
