Job summary

Renown Health seeks a Senior Patient Access Representative to perform advanced registration duties, educate staff, and coordinate complex account resolution across admitting sites. This role supports Patient Access Leaders, conducts audits, and helps ensure timely, accurate insurance authorizations and patient communications.

The incumbent will lead projects, participate in committees, and act as a day-to-day resource for representatives, while upholding Renown's values of Integrity,

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• Typing skills of 35-45 words per minute.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Word; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing registration work and coordinating with departments to ensure accurate patient data and payer sources.
• Developing team members through group and one-on-one training and in-services.
• Facilitating quality assurance mechanisms and monitoring workflows to improve patient experience.
• Updating and revising procedures in coordination with other Patient Access teams.
• Conducting registration audits and sharing results with leadership; working to improve performance.
• Collaborating with Patient Access Leadership to resolve operational issues and track progress toward goals.
• Ensuring accurate estimation of patient financial liabilities and providing education on financial collection techniques.
• Leading day-to-day operational questions and assisting with department projects.
• Serving as a resource for walk-in patients in the hospital lobby/registration area.
• Maintaining comprehensive understanding of federal/state regulations and third-party programs.
