Job summary

Renown Health Fallon Medical Group is seeking a Patient Access Representative to perform registration, scheduling, order entry and reception duties across admitting sites. You will gather demographic, insurance and financial information from patients and families to accelerate access and ensure accurate charges.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining authorizations, collecting patient obligations, and entering data in the computer system while maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of admitting, medical claims processing, professional office experience and/or customer service experience with financial interaction. One year preferred.
• Experience with Windows Operating systems, SMS InVision, Internet and SMS IMS Document Imaging is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts to multiple admitting site locations and performs registration, scheduling, order entry and reception duties.
• Collects and accurately enters demographic, clinical and financial information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains required authorizations.
• Identifies payer sources and collects patient financial obligations.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
