Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Kansas City, MO seeks a Patent Agent with a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and at least five years of patent drafting and prosecution experience.

You will harvest inventions from clients, advise on disclosures and strategy, draft and prosecute US patent applications, guide foreign filings, contribute to opinion work and client counseling, and support litigation efforts.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of patent agent experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Harvest inventions directly from clients.
• Advise on invention disclosures, patent strategy, and prosecution.
• Draft and prosecute US patent applications.
• Guide prosecution of foreign patent applications.
• Contribute to opinion work and client counseling.
• Support litigation efforts.
• Provide technical support across the practice.
