Lutron Electronics Company, Inc in Coopersburg, PA seeks a senior patent agent to join its IP team. You will elicit invention disclosures, draft and prosecute US and foreign patent applications, and help shape global IP strategy.

You will collaborate with engineers and business leaders, manage patent counsel, analyze third-party IP, and support training and policy development across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering or science field.
• USPTO Patent Bar registration.
• 5+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with engineers to elicit invention disclosures.
• Prepare and prosecute US and foreign patent applications with engineers and business leaders.
• Manage US and foreign patent counsel in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Assist with strategic maintenance and growth of patent portfolios.
• Provide IP advice aligned with R&D and business strategies.
• Assist in analyzing potential risks to worldwide products and third-party patent rights.
• Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches and provide assessments on patentability, non-infringement, and validity.
