Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Patch Management Specialist, Mid, to coordinate OS and application patching across enterprise endpoints. You will design deployment approaches that minimize business disruption while meeting security and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 4–6 years in patch management or related IT security, strong WSUS/SCCM experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Typically 4–6 years of patch management or related security roles.
Strong understanding of patch management principles and WSUS/SCCM.
Proven problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills for multitasking.
Experience in assessments, audits, and automated patch management solutions.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Lead assessment, testing, and deployment of OS and application patches across enterprise endpoints using WSUS/SCCM.
Design and maintain patching schedules, phased rollout plans, and maintenance windows.
Troubleshoot and remediate failed patches in coordination with admins and owners.
Implement and tune automated patch management workflows and deployment rules.
Monitor vulnerability feeds and compliance dashboards to prioritize patch deployment.
Document patch management procedures, baselines, and reporting methods.
Collaborate with vulnerability management and security operations teams on remediation priorities.
