City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Senior Parts Storekeeper to supervise storeroom operations, manage inventory, and oversee ordering, receiving and issuing of automotive and transit parts for a major maintenance facility.

Applicants must have 3 years of automotive/transit storekeeping experience and a valid California driver’s license; forklift certification is a plus. Lifting up to 60 pounds and rotating shifts may be required.

• Three (3) years of experience as an automotive/transit parts storekeeper in a storeroom or warehouse.

Mansioni

• Plans, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate personnel engaged in ordering, receiving, inspecting, rotating, storing, inventorying, and issuing of automotive and/or transit parts and related materials.
• Coordinates storeroom operations with inventory control staff of a materials management system, purchasing and user departmental personnel and vendors to maintain established levels of inventories; plans and supervises the storage and issuance of all inventories and insures proper rotation of stock.
• Initiates orders to replenish inventories or to acquire as needed non-inventoried parts and related materials; contacts vendors regarding specifications, prices, and delivery particulars, and places orders as authorized; arranges for the disposal of obsolete or surplus inventories.
