Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Partnerships to advise clients on partnership tax implications, maintenance of capital accounts, and TRA calculations. The role leads in process improvement, team-building, and business development within the Partnerships group.

Responsibilities include supervising associates and managers, training, and delivering strategic tax planning. Strong communication and client relationship skills are essential in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, preferred
• Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
• Eight (8) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
• Specialized partnership experience, required
• Prior supervisory experience, required
• Private equity experience, both fund and portfolio company levels, preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains and develops an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding partnership taxation
• Develops an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding partnership taxation
• Trains associates, senior associates, and managers on research skills and helps to appropriately frame tax issues for analysis
• Trains associates, senior associates, and managers on software/tools used
