Job summary

BCLP seeks a Senior Partner Accountant to join the Partnership Accounting team. This role supports global partnership accounting, including partner reconciliations, profit allocations, and capital management, with interaction across US and UK teams.

The successful candidate will manage multi-currency reconciliations in Elite 3E and contribute to process improvements within a leading law firm environment.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of relevant experience in professional services or accounting, ideally partnership accounting in a law firm.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage complex partner accounts and reconciliations.
• Desirable but not essential: professional accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and process partner payments and prepare individual partner statements.
• Monitor and maintain partner capital, including capital calls, loans, and repayments.
• Assist with budgets and cash flows for partner remuneration and firm cash flow.
• Prepare partner journals and reconcile partner accounts to cash and accrual balances.
• Conduct induction and meetings with partners to review financials.
• Collaborate with US and UK teams to ensure consistency and identify process improvements.
• Support Global Partnership Tax and Payroll teams and respond to audit queries.
• Cover tasks for team members during absences and busy periods.
