City of Glenwood Springs seeks a seasoned Parks and Recreation leader to manage budgets, staff development, and strategic planning for the Parks Division. You will guide workforce planning, oversee capital projects, and coordinate with other departments to maintain parks, trails, cemeteries, and open spaces.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree, supervisory experience, and CPR/First Aid certification. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification within six months of hire.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license with good driving record.
• Master’s degree or other advanced certifications in related fields preferred.
• CPRP certification or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assists Parks and Recreation Director with annual budget development and management.
• Develops and evaluates supervisory and frontline staff.
• Establishes performance expectations and accountability measures.
• Leads workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Directs long-term operational and strategic plans for division services.
• Oversees safety training, certifications, and staff welfare.
