Job summary

The City of El Paso is seeking a qualified professional to plan and administer open space, trails, and parks programs and projects. A Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields and two years of professional administrative experience are required, including one year in open space, trail, park, or natural resource conservation implementation.

The role involves supervising staff and managing capital funds and grants, with extensive interaction with agencies and the public to advance master

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in parks and recreation, public administration, planning, architecture or urban design, plus two years of professional administrative experience.
• At least one year open space, trail, park and/or natural resource conservation implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze open space, trail, and park conditions and develop projects to attain master plan goals and strategic initiatives.
• Interact with public and private agencies to elicit support and coordinate project and program implementation.
• Administer capital funds and grants for open space, trails and park acquisition and improvements.
• Supervise assigned personnel, including volunteers.
