Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking a Senior Administrative Hearing Officer to manage the Parking Adjudication section, ensuring fair hearings for parking citation appeals. You will supervise staff, enforce ethics and attendance policies, and guide officers and court specialists in daily adjudication operations.

The role involves developing program plans, overseeing hearings, and preparing budget and reporting. Strong knowledge of ordinances and customer service is essential for success in this city

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, law enforcement, public administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years in court or legal office admin with case management, parking/traffic adjudication, and heavy public contact.
• One (1) year of supervisory or lead responsibilities (may be included in above).

Responsibilities

• Manage the Parking Adjudication section and ensure hearings follow city rules.
• Supervise officers and staff, set performance targets and development plans.
• Lead meetings and provide direction to Administrative Hearing officers and support staff.
• Develop and coordinate policies for adjudication programs and long-range plans.
• Prepare annual operating budget and monitor financial reports.
• Oversee hearing processes including walk-in, mail-in, and boot hearings; handle appeals.
