Job summary

The NYC Department of Finance's Adjudication Division seeks Hearing Officers to adjudicate parking tickets. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New York and have at least three years of relevant legal experience.

Selected candidates will report to the Adjudication Division, may be assigned to any Business Center across the five boroughs, and must work three days per week, Monday through Friday, with hearings conducted in person, by mail, web, or mobile app.

Qualifications

• A license to practice law in the State of New York, which must be maintained.
• Three years of recent satisfactory relevant legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate parking tickets as Hearing Officer.
• Attend hearings at NYC Business Centers and via mail, web, and mobile app.
• Report to the Adjudication Division and may be assigned to any Business Center in the five boroughs.
• Work three days a week and be available Monday through Friday.
