COLORADO PARKS AND WILDLIFE seeks a Maintenance Technician to care for Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area facilities and grounds, ensuring safe visitor experiences and efficient operations. The role includes supervising temporary staff, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining records to meet state guidelines.

Minimum qualifications require four years of related experience or education; GIS and Microsoft Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Four years of work experience in construction, carpentry, equipment operation, farming or related fields.
• Combination of related education in construction, natural resources, recreation management, or equivalent experience.
• No formal college education is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain park facilities, buildings and grounds to ensure safety and quality.
• Supervise temporary maintenance staff and volunteers; hire and train as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, manage budgets and purchasing within state guidelines.
• Maintain records, reports, and compliance with OSHA, ADA and other regulations.
