Job summary

South Suburban Park and Recreation District seeks a Maintenance Technician - Park District to perform diverse park maintenance tasks including turf care, irrigation and equipment upkeep. The role reports to the Park Maintenance Supervisor and may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and snow watch responsibilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of progressive skilled labor in park maintenance. Valid Colorado driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of progressive skilled labor experience in park/grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs turf maintenance, mowing, fertilization, and irrigation.
• Maintains trees and shrubs, plantings, pruning, and weed control.
• Cleans grounds, removes litter, and maintains park facilities and equipment.
• Assists with irrigation system inspections and minor repairs.
• Supports events by delivering materials and setting up equipment.
