Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned subordinates in all areas of park and landscape maintenance.
• Performs administrative/management duties consistent with department goals.
• Maintains attendance records and reporting.
• Prepares project reports.
• Investigates and documents accidents, graffiti, and vandalism.
• Ensures chemicals, equipment, and products are ordered and available.
• Prepares quotes and bids.
• Develops project and maintenance schedules.
• Administers safety training for Parks Division.
• Provides staff support for events and projects and ensures customer service.
• Matches with residents, vendors, contractors to ensure grounds maintenance meets needs.
• Coordinates volunteer groups for city tasks.
• Manages projects and other duties as assigned.
• Performs playground safety inspections.
• Reviews plans for major construction.
• Ensures timely ordering of chemicals and materials.
