Job summary

Paul Hastings, LLP in New York invites applications for a Senior Paralegal (Structured Credit). This role applies advanced transactional knowledge to support lawyers through complex finance deals, coordinating documents, diligence, and closing activities.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years of paralegal and transactional experience, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (preferred).

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of paralegal experience.
• At least 7 years’ transactional experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and manage billable hours targets.
• Coordinate, organize, prepare and interpret complex transaction documents related to structured finance deals.
• Build and maintain databases and files; file documents and provide copies to relevant parties.
• Manage deal lifecycle tasks: checklists, deadlines, and communications.
• Review UCC financing statements and order/review lien searches; coordinate with vendors.
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside vendors to streamline processes.
• Work overtime and travel as required.
• Handle related projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
