Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Paralegal to work fully onsite in support of the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. Typical assignments may include seeking and locating information, organizing materials, and preparing a variety of legal documents for AUSA review, including pleadings and subpoenas.

The role requires a paralegal certificate or JD (or equivalent), 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience, and familiarity with eDiscovery platforms like Relativity and Everlaw; candidates

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or Juris Doctorate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience.
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to the task order.
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
• Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

Responsibilities

• Support investigations and litigation by locating information via law enforcement, government officials, witnesses and counsel.
• Prepare and organize materials for legal documents (complaints, motions, orders, subpoenas, etc.) for AUSA review.
• Perform moderate to complex legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, CLEAR, and Accurint; verify citations.
