Lyell Immunopharma, Inc. is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support legal operations, SEC reporting, and healthcare compliance.

The role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and may be based in Seattle or South San Francisco, with strong interaction across Finance, HR, IT, and Clinical Operations. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in a life sciences setting or top-tier law firm, paralegal certification (or equivalent), and excellence in English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification (or extensive experience in lieu of certification)
• 8+ years total experience, 5+ years as a Paralegal in life sciences or top-tier law firm
• Experience coordinating with multiple functional teams during growth
• Excellent written and verbal English communication

Responsabilités

• Manage the contract database and ensure accurate reporting to Finance
• Draft, review and negotiate standard agreements and playbooks under attorney supervision
• Support corporate insurance policy maintenance and renewals
• Assist with SEC reports and compliance with public company reporting requirements
• Support healthcare compliance, data privacy and security programs
• Develop standardized legal team processes and support project management
• Collaborate with outside counsel and third-party service providers; manage external spend
• Provide risk summaries for attorney review and protect attorney‑client privilege
