United States Steel Corporation is seeking a legal department paralegal to assist attorneys in matter preparation and file management. You will perform legal research, draft routine documents, and collect information relevant to cases, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

You will file court documents electronically, monitor service, track litigation caseload, draft legal holds, and coordinate with business clients to respond to discovery requests.

Qualificações

• Paralegal degree and ABA-certified certificate preferred, with 5+ years of experience inhouse or at a law firm.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Knowledge of local court rules and procedures is essential.
• Proficiency in major legal research tools and electronic document review platforms is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Support attorneys with litigation matters and related business-unit needs.
• File court documents electronically and manage the electronic case system.
• Monitor service of complaints, subpoenas and other legal processes.
• Track the company’s litigation docket and deadlines.
• Draft legal holds and manage collection, review, and production of documents.
• Coordinate with clients and assist in discovery responses.
• Draft correspondence and legal documents for attorneys’ review.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports/charts on litigation trends.
• Suggest procedures to improve Legal Department efficiency.
